Um... Should I read anything into the fact that yesterday (after a morning with a migraine and looking the part) my sweet Mia thrust my make-up (tackle-box) at me and said "Here, go, Mommy!"??????????????
(Lance still can't stop laughing about it.)

Given where I am, sometimes I think more thought should go to into where I'm going.

Lance's sweet Grandma Kay broke her hip a little while back and has been in the hospital and now a care facility ever since. She is such an incredible woman -it's hard to see those we love suffer. We went to see her on Saturday, and she was doing really well -which is encouraging. She's a tough lady!

Mom surprised my girls with some absolutely adorable and personalized towels the other day! THANKS, MOM!!!
You know, while growing up, I never realized that this kindred spirit of a mother would someday become such a dear friend to me. I have always loved her -but my respect and admiration of her go infinitely deeper. Mom has a heart of gold. She was raised in such humble circumstances -and now is such a sincere appreciator of the beauty in the world around her -it's one of my favorite things about her. Mom, I love you so much. Thank you for everything you do for me and my family. :)

Logan has some wonderful places to get out and away to. The other day my friend Melanie and I have been for a few walks at Logan River Walk -it's awesome. The girls love love love getting out of the house and doing something different! I'm planning on this summer being outside as much as possible!

Sunday was a wonderful family day- we headed out to Hyrum Dam to celebrate my father-in-law Donny's newest purchase -a boat! That's him at the helm. ...You can see shadow and sunglasses. :)
My mother-in-law Debbie!
Lancey-cakes.
My Ella-boo!
Mia-babes!
Bri-bri!
OKAY! I had to edit my picture because I was lookin' pretty haggard after the boat-ride. It's the only self-shot I had!Posted by Rebecca 6 comments
Absolutely the most beautiful piece of Heaven here on Earth. ...Thank you, God, for trusting me with three angels.
Happy Mother's Day (belated) to all the amazing Moms I know. ...And to my own Mom, I love you so much. I also thank God that He trusted you with me. :)

The big party was Saturday! We decided that this is probably the last year we can do a big family birthday party for Ella -she really wanted a local friend party. ...Next year, maybe! :)
Here's my birthday girl. Her birthday is actually on Thursday this week, but Mother's Day weekend is an excellent gathering time!
Here's Lance with Bri-Bri.
My dad dawned some fantabulous sunglasses loaned from Sarah! He sported them well.
Ella got a Leapster2 from Grandma and Papa!
Here's the gift committee.
Ella got a new bike from Nanny, Papa and Granny. ...She managed to destroy her old bike, and it's still sitting broken under our camp stove!
Cake and 6 candles! ...Thanks Karen (dear friend) for making the balloon cake for us!
The festivities were complete with a pinata! ...I'd love to never have to do that again. :) Yes, Lance is holding it, as the string was rendered null and void after the first coupla whacks.Posted by Rebecca 4 comments
Thursday night I took Sabrina and Granny to SLC for my sister Sarah's graduation. Mom had gone earlier, or she would have joined the folks-wagon. Gratefully, Debbie (mom-in-law/saint) took Ella and Mia for me overnight!
First stop was Mimi's Cafe in SLC. It is the BOMB restaurant! Rachael had the place decked out with University of Utah red and black decor. ...So cute!
Here's Mom and Sarah at dinner. The family pitched in and got Sarah a Wii as a gift. :)
We made it to Kingsbury Hall after dinner. Here's me with the baby slung on my hip (story of my night) and Sarah's grad. program.
We sat at the tippy top of the balcony, so we got to talk loud and horse around during the whole event (quick shout-out to Rach for the goodie bags from dinner -they made the program SOOO much better!)... Just the way we like it. Here's Rachael and Mary with Sabrina.

When you look back on your life, it looks as though it were a plot, but when you are into it, it's a mess: just one surprise after another. Then, later, you see it was perfect.
