step 1

Who the heck took my Carmen Electra Strip Aerobics??? It's hard to make step one happen without her. I found the "fit to strip" dvd, but I'm still on el-loser-figure-it-out-beginner, and need my level 1. More to come on this endeavor.

blog-slacker

I haven't been super up-to-date on all the blogging that I mean to do. A blog is, well, sure it's a history for my family -for myself. Yet, more than that, it's VERY indulgent. I love to write. I love to write about me, about my family, friends, things we do, and more me.

ME:
I am a slacker right now. I am a slacker mom. I am a slacker cook (bad, really). I am a slacker house-keeper -who has GOT to sort out new/old clothes to get some bigger stuff for Sabrina. I am a slacker wife who should be gettin' in much better touch with her inner sex-kitten (who?). I am a slacker bill-payer, but that's mostly because of all the debits that I don't know about.

Suggestions? I have GOT to slack off the slacker and rejuvenate the woman that I mean to be. For those who are directly affected by my 'tude, I am really quite sorry. I will get better. I should blog about my efforts.

...We'll see...

:)

The. Worst. Mom.

Ever have that day when you have officially decided your kids are gonna be completely messed up sitting on a therapy couch complaining about you and the huge mistakes you made with them?

....This is one of those days.

*I still love you, Ella. -Even though you're grounded, you don't get wii, friends, cartoons, OR a donut next time Daddy brings some home.

...for fun...

I was blog-hopping (for a rare and beautiful moment ALONE -hopefully it lasts, and I can get this all done & posted) and found someone who filled out this super-cute survey.

Here we go!

-Any names your parents were thinking about that you would prefer?
None that I would prefer. They were gonna name me Timothy if I were a boy… I always felt I should have been a Rozaline -but it wasn‘t much of a consideration for them.

-If you had to pick one outfit that you currently own to wear for the rest of your life, what would it consist of?
My fav comfy jeans, my long black silky boob shirt (looks great -sorry fam, I wear it too much around you, I KNOW), and my purple hoodie from Vanity (schpanks Erin!).

-What TV show have you seen every episode of?Little House On The Prairie (I can watch 20 seconds and tell you everything about the episode, and start quoting… It was my “before school” show. …The Office is another fav.

-What movie can you quote every line to?
I am a queen o’ movie quotes, but really The Princess Bride is the most quotable ever.

-What bands have you seen in concert?
Tim McGraw only. :( Someone take me to a concert, yo?

-What bands would you like to see in concert?
TONS! Most notably, Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift, though.

-If you had the money to retire anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Possibly San Diego -great weather, beaches, things to do, great shopping, etc…

-Is there a piece of jewelry or something similar that if you lost, you would feel naked?
Wedding Ring.

-What is one thing [appearance-wise or other] you would change about yourself?
NOSE, close second would be a spantastic-LA 90210-worthy boob-job.

-One thing you would change about your best friend?
How her family treats her.

-Everyone remembers their first birthday party that involved friends. Describe yours.
I remember getting my “Get In Shape Girl” stuff! I remember my friends and sisters playing with it before me, and then I remember being not too happy about the situation.

-If you could go back in time and change your first kiss, would you?
O HO yes.

-How many times have you said “I love you” to someone of the opposite sex?
Too many.

-How many times have you said it and not meant it?
I thought I meant it, but learned much later that I really didn‘t. …But not since Lance has that ever been an issue. :)

-Which member of your family has the biggest influence on your life?
Too hard to say -probably Mom.

-If you won a $1,000 shopping spree to one store, what store would you want it to be?
SAD, but probably Tai Pan. I’d rather buy beautiful things for my house than me. …But Vanity is 2nd. :)

-How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike?
Seven, I believe. Ella SO has me beat by 2 years!

-Describe the first real party you ever went to [i.e. first party with alcohol].
LONG time ago, really haven’t been to very many, actually. Apparently there, some dude saw me and got someone else to set us up. …THIS IS WHY BLIND DATES FROM THESE KIND OF PARTIES ARE A BAAAAD IDEA. He was no prince.

-Did you like high school? Why or why not?
I enjoyed it enough, but was ready for the next phase of my life.

-Do you prefer the sound of electric, acoustic, or steel guitar?
Acoustic -especially played my a bother of mine.

-Have you ever read the Bible – even just a little part of it?
Yep.

-Out of all the states you’ve visited/lived in, which is your favorite?
West Virginia… Absolutely gorgeous.

-Do you enjoy jigsaw puzzles?
Not so much. Less when they belong to my kids and I have to put them together to put them away!

-What’s the best Christmas present you ever received?
My “Real Baby” when I was a little girl.

-Which of your birthdays was the most memorable?
My most recent, and the number isn’t important. Me and my girlz (fam) all got together and hung out -we did toe-nails, we ate, we played games. It was the BEST.

-Out of all the teachers you’ve had, who had the biggest influence on you?
Mr. Hoyt. The man knew everything. Next was Mr. Robinson from 8th grade history -it was his class where I came out of my shell and discovered my opinion… On everything.

- When you were little, what was your favorite Disney movie?
Robin Hood

-What’s your favorite Disney movie now?
Ratatouille

-What’s your favorite kind of chips?
Lovin’ the Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips. Yum.

-That you know of, do you have any famous ancestors?
Royalty down the Spanish line. Ooooo.

-Did you ever beg your parents for a pony?
Heck no. I’m no huge animal fan. Beg to go to the Harris’ house and see their animals -ahem, Westley? Yes.

-Would you rather be blind or deaf?
Deaf. I need to see what’s going on, and there’s too much communication that’s not “said”. How would I know that Lance caught my roll-of-the-eyes?

-What’s the stupidest TV show on the air right now?
The Real World. It’s nothing but alcohol-fest USA. No longer a social experiment, but let’s see who can beat someone to rehab.

Last but not least, type some funny or inspiring lyrics as a closing:
“And I know it’s never simple never easy
…prefer a clean break, no one here to save me-
You’re the only one I know like the back of my hand….
And I can’t breathe without you, but I have to…” tswift

2010: NEW YEARS, BAYBEE!

Oooooh, man. I can't believe that another year has scrambled away from us. I had SUCH big plans for 2009, but I was pregnant, and nothing counts when you're pregnant. Chocolate? Bring it. Exercise? BAH! -Too uncomfortable with another PERSON in your body.

Well, Becks... that person is out. No 'but it's the HOLIDAYS' excuses either! This is the year of a NEW ME!!!

I must say, New Years Eve was a great kick-off point, but I have some decisions to make. I took Sabrina and Mia down to Layton to spend some time with my brother Dave and his family at his house -along with the rest of the family coming too... We had an absolute blast!Grandmother had a great time kicking it with Bri-Bri. Where was Ella? WITH LANCE!! WOO! He wound up with the night off (unplanned), and preferred to spend time with his family (and me, mine, so I don't blame him!) so he kept Ella and we texted at midnight. ...Romantic.

Lovely Mom.
The "kid" table was a SENSATION!!!! These kids thought it was the coolest thing they'd ever been a part of!
Burnin' the midnight oil, we played some freakin' FUN card games. Noah is a die-hard. :)
This is the demonstration for the "wild-Indian" round at the end of the game. Thanks, Lex! NOW we get it!
Here's Rach!
...And Dave! *It was SOO hard not to revert back to olden days when I used to call him "Beavis", but I didn't do it. You're welcome, Dave.
I told you, Die-hard! ...This pic was taken AFTER midnight!
Rachael's magical math. She won. Legit? I don't know, I don't want to do the math!
There's me. My glasses are ski-wamp. Are they always this way? Someone freakin' tell me, yo?
Here's Noah protecting the two babies! Sabrina is on the left, and Phoebes on the right. Lily isn't feeling the lack of control over the situation.
Here's my Brina-Babes in the BUMBO! ...She loves it.
Took this angelic shot a little later. ...Such a love.
Okay, so resolutions? I'm still debating on whether or not to actually blog them! There's waaaay too much accountability involved... But perhaps that's what I need? You know you can't start resolutions on the weekend, so I thought I'd wait until today. I didn't start today. Well, if you had to go all the way into Sam's Club with an unhappy baby and only buy 2 gallons of milk, you'd pick up a soda too!!! GRUFF.
Resolution #1: no more soda.
Resolution #2: serve a veggie with EVERY dinner I make
Resolution #3: okay okay okay, BABY steps. I will reveal more resolutions as I put together my game plan. I can't just come up with a list of new "rules" for myself, or I won't last a stinkin' week. ...To be revisited.
Hope you all had a fantastic new year celebration!

January 3, 2004

Lance, the day I met you I knew you were the HOTTEST thing I'd ever seen! You know the story... I figured you were waaaaay out of my league, but I decided I'd go for it anyway! ...So with all my ridiculous intensity and ego I hit on you. :)

You had no idea what you were in for...

Babe, I sincerely believe that as our story is no fairytale, it still counts. Every couple has their story. Six years of my life have been yours to share, and never have I stopped loving you. If it all ended today I can honestly say that you are the love of my life. Thank you for our children. Thank you for our life together. Thank you for loving me and growing with me. We're not up the mountain yet, but I can't imagine taking this journey with anyone else. We are meant for each other.

I love you, and happy anniversary.
